What SpotOps is

We provide the software a local business uses to run its own parking lot. The lot is theirs. They set the rates, they decide the rules, and they handle enforcement. We take the payment on their behalf and pass their rate on to them.

That means questions about signage, towing, damage, or anything physical about the lot are for the business that runs it. Questions about a payment are for us.

What you are buying

A window of time, not a reserved space. Paying covers your vehicle in that lot until the end time shown at checkout. It does not hold a specific stall for you and does not guarantee a space is free when you arrive.

The end time is firm. There is no meter running and nothing is charged after you leave, so leaving early does not earn a refund. Staying past the end time is between you and the business that runs the lot.

Your plate is the receipt. Enforcement is by license plate, so a plate typed wrong is a car that reads as unpaid. Check it before you pay.

Price and payment

The price shown at checkout is the total. It is the lot's posted rate plus our service fee, both itemised before you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe.

We are the merchant of record for the transaction, so your card statement shows SpotOps rather than the lot.

Refunds

Charged twice, charged the wrong amount, or paid for the wrong lot? Email support@spotops.co with the plate and roughly when you paid, and we will sort it out.

Time you bought and did not use is not refundable, for the same reason nothing is charged when you overstay: there is no way to know when you actually left.

SMS Terms

SpotOps sends text messages about your parking session if you tick the box for text reminders at checkout and give a phone number. Ticking the box is how you ask for them. You get roughly one text per parking session, about 10 minutes before your time ends, with a link to add time. We may also send a payment confirmation. We do not send marketing texts.

Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help, or email support@spotops.co. Stopping texts does not affect your parking. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your number.

A reminder is a courtesy, not a guarantee. Phones lose signal, inboxes filter, and carriers delay. Your parking still ends when it ends, whether or not a message arrived.

Fair use

Do not use someone else's plate, do not use SpotOps to interfere with the lot or with other drivers, and do not attempt to break or overload the service.

Where our responsibility ends

We are responsible for taking your payment correctly and recording your session accurately. If we get that wrong, we will refund you.

We are not responsible for the lot itself: what happens to your vehicle there, whether a space is available, or decisions the operating business makes about enforcement. We do not control the tow company.

Where the law allows it to be limited, our liability for any claim relating to a parking session is limited to what you paid for that session.
